Pay It Forward Donations help kids reach for the stars.
Kids can’t reach the stars on their own.
They need a boost to get them started on an upward flight plan that extends their reach farther than they could have ever dreamed. Did you know that 75% of high school graduates are not ready to make college or career decisions?1 A national survey concluded that students need better preparation for the future.1 That’s why Pay It Forward 365 exists.
Your Pay It Forward Donations will help students in real, practical ways.
Imagine an 8th grade student going to City Hall and attending a City Council session … or a 9th grader visiting a local tech startup … a 10th grade student visiting a culinary school … and a Junior touring a major architectural project with the firm in charge of it all.
Pay It Forward 365 will make all of this — and more — possible for Cleveland area high school students with your help. Get involved and get the satisfaction of making a critical impact for students, parents, schools, and your community. A collaborative approach that involves this range strengthens efforts to drive students’ career exploration, helping their future readiness.2
That’s why Pay It Forward donations will be used for tangible, practical benefits:
- Students will visit actual workplaces to determine which would best apply the skills and knowledge they possess.
- They will get to speak with and ask questions to people about their experiences in community service, technology, blue-collar, and professional service careers.
- This exposes 8-11 grade students to many career options in their local community.
- Real-world visits to a variety of jobs and industries like this will help them gain the knowledge to better plan for their future.
- The Pay It Forward 365 career pathways program gives the student a true feel for what those jobs are like, and observe how those in a variety of positions perform their roles.
- Students will also be visited by local colleges to learn about the application process, as well as how to submit for financial aid and scholarships.
